INSURANCES.
All Pickwick Pepperpots members are equally protected by the clubs civil liability
insurance but only at Pickwick Pepperpot hosted events. Any person not holding
Pickwick Pepperpot membership is not insured and must not take part in club
events until they have become members.
Please note the payment of a tournament fee only in advance or on the day of the event does not confer club membership on anyone, club membership is a totally separate issue with membership subscriptions being in addition to any tournament fees.
The Pickwick Pepperpot club insurance is ineffective at any event hosted by any other organisation even if the persons taking part register their attendance as Pickwick Pepperpot members.
Details of event hosts are always published with the event details on the Shooting Diary page (please refer). They can also be found on the venues pages.(please refer).
Should club members wish a sight of The Pickwick Pepperpots current insurance certificate, please contact Richard via our contact page and make arrangements.
We strongly recommend if you attend any events hosted by organisations other than the Pickwick Pepperpots that in order to protect yourselves against any claims you investigate in advance the insurance circumstances of those events and if necessary purchase your own insurance cover prior to attending.
It may be worth you checking the clauses of your house structure and house contents insurances for a third party liability section, which may give you both personal and family cover. You must however always check with your insurance company if and when such a section is found, that the protection you require is provided by that section. You must not assume anything. All details of your archery involvement must be disclosed to your insurance company.
